New medical centre for Sovereign

There is good news for Eastbourne residents in and around the Harbour area. Eastbourne Downs Primary Care Trust(PCT), has put in an application for a new two storey medical centre to be sited where the Sovereign Harbour Offices are in Harbour Quay.

Margaret Salsbury, the Lib Dem candidate in Sovereign Ward and a former nurse has welcomed the news.Margaret said, "This is good news for local people. I have been battling for a proper medical centre for a long time. I hope the PCT move forward swiftly with their application."

Margaret is continuing to press for improved community facilities across Sovereign Ward. She is also working to get more police on patrol in the area.Margaret added, "Too often the Sovereign area has been ignored by the Conservative run Council. I am fighting to change this."
